DESCRIPCIÓN DEL PUESTO
The Customs Analyst will be responsible for managing all aspects North America Logistics as well as Export Logistics and global foot print. This will include interacting with our Tijuana and San Diego team. In addition, or FFW companies and business partners. This candidate will also perform Customs Compliance Analyst’s role primarily to understand import/export laws and regulations. Will help our products maintain and improve compliance with US export and import regulations. The Analyst manages our compliance requirements for import and export transactions. This candidate makes decisions and guides others to understand and satisfy the intricacies of import and export compliance.
REQUISITOS
Review product descriptions and technical data to determine import/export classification in accordance with the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Commerce Control List (CCL).
Respond to inquiries from customs brokers, government agencies, customer or vendors regarding classification, documentation requirements, or other import issues to ensure timely clearance
Classify goods shipped abroad using Schedule B tariff codes; determine if the commodity has EAR99 or ECCN
Determines country of origin and duty preference eligibility under free trade agreements (“FTAs”)/preferences
Consults with Customs Broker/Freight Forwarder as needed to answer any questions
Directs the research of the engineering team in order to gather the right information for making qualification and classification decisions.
Proven working experience as Customs and Export Compliance
Record of successful distribution and logistics management
Proficient in standard logistics software
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
Classify goods shipped abroad using Schedule B tariff codes; determine if the commodity has EAR99 or ECCN
Determines country of origin and duty preference eligibility under free trade agreements (“FTAs”)/preferences
Responsible if required for ISF/EEI filings related to import/export compliance.
Understand and submit customs drawback
Technical expertise with the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification, Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and U.S. import regulations.
Certified Classification Specialist (CCLS) a plus.
