DESCRIPCIÓN DEL PUESTO

1. Purchase executing internal system messages following approved contracts, business rules, processes, procedures, and secure delivery on time of materials to ensure continuity of the manufacturing process.
2. Place Purchase Orders for stock and non-stock Indirect products, for US, Mexico & Overseas Suppliers.
3. Expedite purchase orders including maintaining and updating data and resolving various discrepancies such as shortages, overages, pricing, and delivery dates.
4. Assist in Keeping track of supplier performance, contact supplier to request corrective and preventive actions.
5. Contact Vendors for pricing and availability of products as directed by the directors or managers
6. Resolve Price Discrepancies and PPV with Finance
7. Follow up the Internal Shop Rules and Safety Procedures, Gifts Policy, Ethic, and good practices.
8. Feed and identify minimum and maximum stocks though trends analysis
9. Elaborate and feed open PO reports that include entry date, ETA & Tracking Numbers to provide information on time

REQUISITOS

1. Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineer, administration or related to supply chain or operations management.
2. Related experience as a buyer in Purchasing activities in a high/low volume industrial environment (Experience with Wood Manufacturing is a plus)
3. Must be well organized and able to handle multiple tasks with minimum supervision.
4. Ability to adapt to changing work assignments and priorities.
5. Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge.
6. Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills
7. Sense of urgency and accountability
8. Advanced English
9. Valid visa
